A new STAR TREK podcast launches, hosted by  die-hard Trekkies Rich Matthews, Ian Spelling and Toby Weidmann... Join die-hard Star Trek veterans Rich Matthews , Ian Spelling and Toby Weidmann as they embark on an ongoing mission to explore and celebrate the strange new worlds of the vast Star Trek universe in an original podcast, Beyond the Final Frontier (BFF).  As three entertainment journalists who have written about Star Trek for decades, Rich, Ian and Toby are bringing their extensive geek universe experience, longtime camaraderie and in-depth behind-the-scenes knowledge to the podcast world. We're Battling Internet Demons!

downthetubes.net is a big site, but we never realised, until recently, just how big – and that's causing us problems. Apparently we've reached some sort of file number limit that's making posting news items on the site an absolute slog. So, to get around this while we enter the final phase of a behind-the-scenes upgrade, news items will run on this blog first and will be imported to downthetubes later. Apologies for giving our loyal readers a bit of a runaround, but we don't want to get behind bringing yout the best of the comic news, and I don't want to lose any more hair than I already have when images fail to upload or a post fails to publish!
